New BRAVO Employee Recognition Tool Now Open

The HR Hub is introducing a new tool called BRAVO to make it easier for you to recognize coworkers, and it will also incorporate the I CARE awards. We have a strong culture of recognition and appreciation here at Houston Methodist, and we believe this tool will make our culture even stronger.

Using BRAVO, you can send an employee an electronic “eCard” to acknowledge an event or say thank you for something they have done. We urge you to use these cards early and often. The recognition you give will be visible in the program’s social feed on the Wall of Fame. So be sure to not include anything that’s private.  And when you recognize someone, the system will send a card to his or her manager as a notification that the person was recognized.

It’s available through MARS by clicking on the Benefit Details tile and then clicking BRAVO in the left navigation bar. Click HERE  for further login instructions and options.

You may also use the BRAVO tool to nominate employees for an I CARE award.  It will allow for year-round nominations into three levels:

  1. I CARE Caught in the Act – eCard
  2. I CARE Ambassador award – awarded throughout the year
  3. I CARE Gold Badge award – awarded annually in the spring (historically semi-annually)

The first I CARE Gold Badge awards from the BRAVO tool won’t be awarded until next spring as the I CARE award is now moving to an annual schedule.

Click HERE for instructions on how to recognize someone with the BRAVO tool.  We will be sharing tips and more information over the coming weeks. We encourage you to log in and recognize a coworker.

This Is Not The Intranet

This website contains weekly news for HMSL employees and volunteers. This is not to be confused with the Houston Methodist intranet. More in-depth information about each department can be found on the intranet site.
