It is my pleasure to announce the promotion of Gordana Isajloska Jasmak to the role of Pharmacy Clinical Manager for Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, effective March 4, 2018.
Gordana began her journey as a Houston Methodist employee on Feb. 21, 2010 transferring from the Med. Center to HMSL as a PRN Staff Pharmacist. Gordana’s ongoing quest for knowledge and excellence quickly became apparent as she worked toward Sterile Products Certification, ACLS Certification and Board Certification. Gordana seized every opportunity to learn and grow while continuing to give back to the organization through her patient care and customer service efforts. Gordana moved from PRN and began providing full time staffing support as a unit-based pharmacist also rotating though central pharmacy.
In 2013, Gordana was promoted from Pharmacist I to Pharmacist II. By 2014, Gordana had become involved in supporting and leading pharmacy initiatives. By 2015, Gordana had demonstrated knowledge and skill sets obtained to support Critical Care Services. In 2016, Gordana was promoted to Clinical Specialist where she has since continued to positively represent pharmacy through various committees including Critical Care, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Stroke, Medication Safety, and System Medication Safety. In 2017, Gordana was awarded an HM System Quality and Patient Safety Award for her outstanding contributions to patient safety. Not resting on past laurels, Gordana expressed interest in pursuing an opportunity to further utilize her strengths, talents, and achievements in the Clinical Manager role.
Please join me in welcoming and supporting Gordana in this exciting new chapter of HMSL, Department of Pharmacy Services. It is without doubt, that we can expect to see ongoing growth and achievement for Pharmacy Services under Gordana’s leadership of Clinical Services.
