We are kicking off this new year getting recharged about our I CARE values!
Our I CARE values are the heart of our mission. Our core values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence help us place our patients at the center of everything we do and help us make Houston Methodist a great place to work. This is what sets us apart from other health care systems.
We’re revamping our I CARE recommitment process with an I CARE Recharge. This system-wide annual initiative encourages all departments to creatively express how they will demonstrate our I CARE values throughout the year. You’ll hear more about this from your leaders. I encourage all of you to participate in a meaningful discussion about how your team will commit to demonstrate our I CARE values throughout the year. This year, we’re answering the question, “How do we communicate unparalleled Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence?”
We will kick off I CARE Recharge Monday, Jan. 15 and give all units/departments a three-week deadline to create their poster display. Each department will bring their I CARE Recharge poster to the Spiritual Care Department by noon on Friday, Feb. 2. The I CARE Recharge Celebration Week will be Feb. 5 – 9. Posters will be displayed in the Brazos Pavilion to show off your creative work.
To sweeten the deal, all employees will get to vote on their favorite posters in two categories; Most Creative and Most Engaging. The two winning departments will receive prizes.
