July 16, 2018: Have you ever stopped to consider what it takes to be a great leader? Here are a few characteristics and skills great leaders use to lead.
- Great leaders are sincere. They don’t promise anything they can’t deliver. They focus on what benefits those who follow them.
- Great leaders know exactly what they need others to do.
- Great leaders ask compelling questions.
- Great leaders are empathetic. They find out what the other person really wants and strive to see things from the other person’s point of view.
- Great leaders consider the benefits the other person will receive from doing what they suggest.
- Great leaders match the benefits to the other person’s wants.
- Great leaders help others understand how they will benefit from change and praise the slightest improvements.
