National Pharmacy Week

National Pharmacy Week was celebrated Oct. 16 – 22. National Pharmacy Technician Day was celebrated Oct. 18. The HMSL Pharmacy Team is comprised of 31 Pharmacists and 36 Pharmacy Technicians (currently 86% staffed). Our vision is that pharmacy services will be recognized as a global leader of pharmaceutical care in the health care setting. Our mission is to collaborate to provide innovate, personalized, cost effective pharmaceutical care in a culture dedicated to quality and safety. Our team has dispensed over 1.8 million doses YTD Sept. 2016. Our Medication Reconciliation Technician obtain about 1,400 medication histories and enter over 8,000 medicines monthly. Our pharmacists document over 1,000 interventions each quarter with a focus on patient safety. Our team is delighted to provide pharmaceutical care to Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital providers and patients.
