PRECEPTOR AWARD FOR LEADERSHIP SKILLS This award recognizes preceptors who are enthusiastic about the nursing profession, demonstrate the I CARE values and have superior training and mentoring skills. A preceptor’s role is to help student nurses or new employees transfer knowledge into bedside application and adapt to the culture of the hospital. The HMSL PALS winners will also be nominated for the Nurse Gala Preceptor Award.
