Quiet Time is being implemented on 4 East, 6 West, Brazos 6.
Quiet time is a set of designated hours during the daytime and nighttime when the hospital respects the need for patients to get rest to help with their healing process by providing a quiet environment while still maintaining patient’s safety and comfort. During this time, the lights on the unit will be dimmed prompting quiet time.
Quiet Time is every day
- 2-4 p.m.
- 11 p.m. – 4 a.m.
What are the expectations from staff during quiet time?
- Voices lowered
- Avoid slamming doors
- No overhead pages/limited overhead pages
- Lower ringer on phones
- Limit conversation in hallways
- Be an advocate for other areas/visitors entering the unit.
