Meagan Kaulfus, MS, is a certified genetic counselor with a special interest in cancer genetics, focusing on the hereditary causes of cancer. Whether due to genetics, family history or personal history, she will work with patients and their families who may be at a higher risk for developing cancer.
Meagan is a native Texan from the Nederland/Beaumont area. She received her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 2015 and then received a master’s degree in genetic counseling from the UTHealth MD Anderson Cancer Center Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 2017.
Meagan says, “I went into cancer genetic counseling because I felt privileged to help patients navigate through their personal and family history of cancer as it relates to genetics. It is very rewarding to be able to provide patients with information that empowers them to make proactive decisions regarding health and cancer risks, not only for themselves but for other members of their family.”
Meagan will office out of HMSL but will also serve patients at Houston Methodist West and Houston Methodist Willowbrook.
