One of the most effective measures we have is to be a resource for our community and relay accurate and timely information, especially about COVID-19. As health care workers we have a responsibility to educate ourselves on it so that we can best serve our patients, families, friends and our community.
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to share this information with at least five people you know. With a staff of almost 3,000 people, if we all share with five loved ones, that’s 15,000 people who will have more accurate information and will hopefully feel at ease about coming to our hospital should they need help.
This is why we’ve created several resources for you to share on your social media pages and distribute them via several avenues.
It is important to reassure our community that our hospital is a safe place to come to should they need treatment. Click here for talking points to use specifically for our hospital or click here for some basic information about COVID-19.
Like our Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital Facebook page and share the content there straight to your timeline.
Our system has also created videos about social distancing, tips for coronavirus prevention, and how to manage anxiety during this time.
The On Health Blog is also a great resource to share. They have several topics such as what to know about getting a mammogram and why an emergency is still an emergency even during this pandemic.
