Employee Resource Groups Are Booming
Membership in the 10 HM employee resource groups (ERGs) is growing rapidly. Why? They’re an informal and relaxed way to meet up with colleagues who share common interests or backgrounds or want to learn more about the cultural traditions of their co-workers.
The voluntary employee-created and led groups provide a safe, neutral space for employees to discuss unique issues or challenges and professional development opportunities. Members may also participate in organizing group or systemwide events, networking events and community involvement activities.
Employees across the system can join any ERG they identify with or would like to learn more about and support. You can also start a new group!
To find out what all the excitement is about, text “ERG” to 45991, or contact Nazia Imrose at nimrose2@houstonmethodist.org.
Coming to the DEI Corner Next Week: The Asian Heritage and Young Professionals ERGs join with HM Employee Wellness to present a pair of August events to help get you moving, manage stress and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
