ERG Hosts Juneteenth Celebration

In recognition of Juneteenth, the Black Ties For Culture employee resource group (ERG) hosts an in-person and virtual celebration on Monday, June 19 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The holiday commemorates the date in 1865 when enslaved persons in Texas were freed, two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. The in-person celebration will be held in the HMRI Bookout Auditorium, while it will also be available via Zoom. The program will feature information on African American outreach organizations, giveaways and more. Click HERE to register. Contact BlackTiesforCulture@houstonmethodist.org.
