Tiffiney is a native Arkansan, and although not from Texas, she and her family have adopted Houston as their home. She received her bachelor’s degree from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR in 2004, and her master’s degree in Genetics and Human Genetics from Howard University in Washington, DC in 2007. Tiffiney has presented at numerous conferences, trained genetic counseling students, residents, and fellows, contributed to numerous abstracts, and is a published author. She is also a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors, Texas Society of Genetic Counselors, and the American Society of Human Genetics.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge of genetics to bring clarity and to empower patients to make informed decisions related to their health and the care of their loved ones,” said Tiffiney. “However, I often find that my patients thoroughly enrich my personal experience, enlighten me, and encourage me in ways I deeply appreciate when they share their stories with me. It truly is an honor to serve them.”
Tiffiney looks forward to growing and expanding the reach of genetics education in the community. Tiffiney’s homebase is HMSL and she also serves patients at Houston Methodist West.
