Election Day is on Nov. 3, and Houston Methodist supports the rights of all employees to vote. Due to COVID-19 and anticipated increased voter turnout, we are recommending that all employees make a plan to vote to ensure you are able to vote. You can vote during the early voting period to avoid the crowds on Election Day. Registered voters may vote early in person at any early voting location in their county.
You may find more information about voting from resources such as Vote.gov or VoteTexas.gov.
You can vote in Texas if you:
- are a U.S. citizen
- are a resident of the county where you submit the application
- are at least 17 years and 10 months old, and you are age 18 on election day
- are not a convicted felon
- have not been declared to be either totally or partial mentally incapacitated
To make sure that voting is a simple process this year, you should plan ahead. You can check ahead to make sure you are registered. If you’re not sure if you’re registered, you can check here. If you need to register to vote, you can here.
