Houston Methodist recently launched iCIMS, our new applicant tracking system.
iCIMS (pronounced EYE-sims) is the next step in enhancing our current “Know Me” strategy for recruitment, which strives to know and connect with candidates at each step of the hiring process, from sourcing through onboarding and the first year of employment. Using one system for multiple critical functions, iCIMS allows for a more personalized experience for a candidate applying to Houston Methodist and streamlines the work for those involved in the recruiting process.
Changes to the employee referral process
Referrals in iCIMS are originated by the current employee. To access this function, employees must log in through the internal career site in order to refer friends, family or previous colleagues and be eligible for a referral bonus (if applicable). The employee will search for an open job and forward a link to a friend, family member or previous colleagues.
This is different from the MARS referral process, which allows the applicant to indicate an employee referral and then the employee was prompted to verify the referral.
