We have thoughtfully developed a new, safe process, which includes a modified in-car check-in process, located on the first floor of the Sweetwater Parking Garage. Upon entering the garage, patients will be greeted by a Patient Access Services employee wearing the appropriate PPE, who registers them for service. They will then be asked to park on the first floor of the garage and wait in their cars until it is time for their appointment.
The patient will be alerted via phone call or text when it is time for their appointment. A representative will wait at the front door to escort the patient back for the appointment.
This new check-in process will also be required for services that normally don’t require appointments such as X-rays.
The hospital’s strict visitor policy will remain in place which will only allow one visitor to enter if the patient requires assistance. Visitors will not be allowed to wait in waiting areas. We will also ask all patients to wear their own masks.
In addition, imaging staff will have on the appropriate PPE, and patient exams will be scheduled in such a way to allow for thorough cleaning of rooms and equipment in between each exam.
We are taking these precautions to protect our employees and patients as we begin the process of resuming routine patient care services over the next few weeks.
