October is National Physical Therapy (PT) month. The inpatient physical therapy department once again participated in the Global PT Day of Service, a global event where clinicians, students, and associated staff of the PT profession volunteer in different communities with a mission of transforming the world through service.

This year, the inpatient PT department teamed up with the Keep Sugar Land Beautiful (an award-winning non-profit organization in Fort Bend County) for their 15th Recycle for Reuse event, held on Oct. 13 at the Fort Bend ISD Administration parking lot. Gently used items (books, games, puzzles, clothing, furniture, household items) were collected and sorted.

The event benefited Fort Bend ISD teachers and the Fort Bend Women’s Center.
