MARCH 11, 2022 — The Houston Methodist Sugar Land Community Ambassador Program is a new initiative to help engage with our local community. According to the American Cancer society, one in three people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, which means you most likely have, or will know someone, impacted by cancer. The new Community Ambassador Program will help strengthen our brand as a leader in oncology services, and we are looking for Ambassadors
The primary objective of the Community Ambassador Program is to build a team of representatives who can serve as educators, influencers and informal navigators within their existing circles of trust or those they develop over time – for example, schools, faith communities, ethnic organizations, neighborhood groups, clubs, civic organizations, social media groups, non-profit organizations and other special interest/hobby groups. The Community Ambassador Program builds positive rapport in the community by increasing one-on-one engagement with potential patients and by creating both formal and informal partnerships between the hospital and other community organizations.

If this program interests you, we have a few questions for you to answer in this survey. In the coming months, we will work on building the Community Ambassador Program and implementing training for ambassadors. We will be in touch after we collect the survey results. Thank you for your interest!
