NOVEMBER 3, 2022 — HMSL is excited to announce Janan Sackllah, MPH, CIC as the new Manager of Quality overseeing risk, accreditation, patient safety and performance improvement outcomes effective immediately.
Janan has been board certified in Infection Control since 2014. She began her career at the city of Houston Health Department in 2009 focusing on public health preparedness and epidemiology. She transitioned into infection prevention/control in 2011 at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center where she served as the Infection Preventionist for the medicine, transplant, trauma and burn service lines. She was later promoted to the Regional Manager position which spanned five hospitals within that system.
Janan began at Houston Methodist Sugar Land in 2017 working closely with staff and leadership on preventing hospital-acquired infections and streamlining infection control practices. Janan became the Senior Infection Preventionist in 2019 where she served as a vital resource and asset during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and playing tennis. Please assist us in welcoming Janan to her new role in the Quality Management Department.
