MARCH 6, 2023 — I am excited to announce that Jocelyn Jackson will join the HMSL team as Senior Organizational Development Consultant, effective April 9. Jocelyn has supported HMSL over the past few months in an interim capacity while providing full-time support to her corporate leadership team client group.
Jocelyn joined Houston Methodist in June 2019 and was most recently the Senior Organizational Development Consultant, supporting leaders in corporate and system functions. Before joining Houston Methodist, Jocelyn worked in one of the surrounding school districts in Houston, where she served as a campus administrator and educator for over 15 years. Jocelyn is a native Houstonian and delivered both of her daughters at HMSL, where she had exceptional service, which prompted her interest in a career at Houston Methodist.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston.
Jocelyn is passionate about leadership and understands the important role a leader plays in the lives of employees. As a former leader of people, she understands the demands placed on leaders and the value of them having access to resources that will help them lead effectively. Jocelyn is a firm believer that leaders must be influential in order to be successful. As a consultant, she believes her role is to support and help equip leaders with the tools they need to be highly effective.
Jocelyn is the Chair and Charter Member of the MOMs of Methodist Employee Resource Group, where she works in collaboration with the Office of DEI to provide support and programming to its members throughout the Houston Methodist system. Outside of Houston Methodist, Jocelyn is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a member of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. She also serves on the board of the Cullinan Park Conservancy in order to bring awareness to the importance of our community parks and the health benefits they provide for the people in our neighborhoods. Jocelyn is an avid reader, who also enjoys indoor cycling, volunteering in her community, mentoring, and spending time with family and friends.
Please join me in welcoming Jocelyn to the HMSL team!
