The HMSL Employee Morale Committee started in 2020, born during the trying time of the pandemic in order to help recognize employees continuously going above and beyond and to help boost morale across campus. The committee hands out awards based on nominations from other employees when someone is seen going above and beyond for a patient or co-worker.
- How does the committee receive nominations?
- Anyone can submit a nomination to the committee — employees, management, other departments, etc.
- You can email HMSLEmployeeMoraleCommittee@houstonmethodist.org
- The committee also monitors Bravo. You can access Bravos in the MARS dashboard.
- What is the committee looking for in selecting an employee to celebrate?
- It can be how someone really went out of their way for our patients, or their families to ensuring that your coworkers had the support they needed to be able to have their lunch. If you feel they went above and beyond, nominate them!
- Read example stories here:
- How often does the committee do the award?
- The committee will vote and award a stellar employee each quarter.
- Can I join the committee?
- Yes, the committee is open to new members. Any employee of HMSL can email us at hmslemployeemoralecommittee@houstonmethodist.org to inquire about joining or to send nominations.
The HMSL Employee Morale Committee also partners with internal groups to help support wellness, fairs, and various hospital celebrations across campus.
If you have any ideas or would love to get involved, please reach out to committee leaders Majeedah Pacha or Melodie Woodard.
