I am sad to share the news that Lowell Stanton is leaving Houston Methodist on Nov. 27 for a position with Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in Baton Rouge, LA.
Lowell has been an important part of the Houston Methodist family for the last 21 years, most recently serving as south region vice president and CFO of Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. His contributions have been invaluable.
When he joined the leadership team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land, we were a 22-bed community health center. Today, in large part due to his financial expertise, we are a thriving 347-bed regional medical center.
Lowell played a major role across the south region including serving on the transition team following the acquisition of Christus St. John, to help drive Houston Methodist Clear Lake’s subsequent growth. He has also provided significant leadership in helping Houston Methodist Baytown strengthen its role in that market.
Please join me in wishing Lowell the best as he embarks on this new endeavor.

You always made it a point of duty to either make eye-contact and say hello whenever you were on 4 East, or crack a joke to lighten the “air”.
God’s grace with this new opportunity to shine even brighter!
