November 26, 2018 – Each nursing unit/department is in the process of evaluating their Magnet Readiness with our Magnet Program Director, Mary Harris. Part of the evaluation is identifying how each unit/department is contributing to help HMSL reach our Breakthrough Objectives (BTOs):
- Achieve top 20th percentile of the Vizient Quality & Accountability Compare Group by 2020
- Achieve the 99th percentile healthcare average for employee engagement by the end of 2020
- With the impending change in payer mix (declining revenue) and increase in expenses, achieve and maintain an 18% operating margin by 2020
These objectives can be reached when each of us owns our contributions to providing unparalleled safe patient care. Take time to reflect on how you contributed this year and begin to dream about what great would look like in 2019 in your area of practice.
