February 10, 2020: This is the week we celebrate love and take time out to express our love to those closest to us. I found a great quote from Eleanor Roosevelt that I’d like to share with you.
“It takes courage to love, but pain through love is the purifying fire which those who love generously know. We all know people who are so much afraid of pain that they shut themselves up like clams in a shell, and giving out nothing, receive nothing and therefore shrink until life is a mere living death.”
When I think about what each of you do daily to serve our patients, families, and community, I’m in awe of the courage and generosity you show. From my heart to yours, thank you for creating a culture of love, compassion, and accountability.
