January 14, 2019 – Shared governance is an organizational philosophy that:
- Nurtures the values of collaboration, trust and mutual respect among all stakeholders;
- Creates an environment that promotes professional growth and development, shared decision making and ownership for patient care and outcomes;
- Provides a structure for nurses and interprofessionals to have a voice in their practice the decisions that affect the care they deliver; and
Fosters a commitment to life-long learning.
How will you be involved in Shared Governance in 2019? Will you commit to making HMSL a better place to work and provide patient care?
