Paul Forbes Promoted to Director of Facilities

NOVEMBER 9, 2022 — I am pleased to announce that Paul Forbes has been promoted to Director of Facilities at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. Paul came to HMSL in 2017 as Manager of Facilities and has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience that was pivotal as we navigated through the ever-changing needs experienced with the battle of COVID-19.  Whether it was converting patient rooms to negative pressure, building registration and testing booths in the garage, or coordinating with infection control, Paul was always ready for the challenge with great solutions to keep our patients, visitors and employees safe.  

In his new role, Paul will continue to coordinate the day-to-day Facilities operations HMSL and will be the primary contact for all space requests and construction activities at the campus. Paul will also be able to work with each department as you plan capital budgets to ensure all construction-related costs are captured within capital requests. Paul, along with the help of Dawn Wood, will also be responsible for oversite of the hospital safety program and accreditation activities for the environment of care.     

Paul has nearly two decades of hospital experience and began his career at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in 2004. He worked at various campuses helping St. Luke’s grow their footprint in the Houston area before joining HMSL in 2017.
