The Pharmacy Department teamed up with the Infusion Center to begin a telecounseling medication pilot program, which proved to be very helpful due to the new COVID-19 precautions.
The program provides an alternative, effective method to educate patients and caregivers due to social distancing concerns, especially for our immunocompromised patients.
The program has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from patients, leading to most of the patient counseling encounters now being done by this technology.
