Prompt: Who is your favorite Star Wars character and why?
“Our family’s favorite Star Wars character is Boba Fett because of the mystery that surrounded him across the comic books, movies and then new TV series. It’s fascinating to us how his character is portrayed. In the 1983 movie, “Return of the Jedi” he is eaten by a Sarlacc on the planet Tatooine, and then in the 2002 movie prequel, “Attack of the Clones,” his relationship with his father, Jango Fett, is shown, along with Boba Fett as a young boy, who sees his dad get killed by Jedi Mace Windu. Then, we were so excited when Disney reintroduced Boba Fett in the new series, The Mandalorian, season 2 and then went on to create the new series, “The Book of Boba Fett,” which picked up right after Boba Fett was eaten by the Sarlacc. We knew that Boba may have survived the Sarlacc based on the comic books, and that he was raised by fellow bounty hunters and had a difficult life, but the Disney+ series did an amazing job of portraying what happened and how he survived!!!!!!!!!”

“Luke Skywalker – I know it sounds cliche, but he’s really fascinating within the canon. One of the most powerful Jedi to ever exist, and he’s never received proper training like those that came before him. Plus – he’s kind. He focuses on being kind in the face of misery, and agony. He grew up on the home planet that enslaved his father but wasn’t bitter and angry. He fought to improve things always because he believed in the goodness of people.”

“My favorite Star Wars character is Mon Mothma, as a founding member of the rebellion against the galactic empire, Mon Mothma was a crucial player in setting up and partly funding the alliance. She is often overshadowed by other characters that were more key players, but she is one of my favorites for sure.”

“Princess Leia because as a young girl she appeared brave and adventurous in the movies. I related to her and have many fond memories watching the movies growing up and as an adult. I love building Lego Star Wars kits.”

“Yoda. Yoda taught us all to not make assumptions about what we see. Our eyes can fool us. We must learn to trust our feelings. Not the raw emotional kind, but the intuition that often guides our decisions. He also knew that success can be achieved even if it takes many tries.”

“I’m interested in these tickets for the Houston Symphony and John Williams aspects. Both are brilliant! But, my favorite Star Wars character is C3P0 because of his willingness to participate even though logic says run away.”
– Karen Carr
“R2-D2. The original short king. He was extremely driven, unwaveringly loyal, and always got the job done even with all the chaos around him. And always got back up when knocked down.”
