Regional Role Announcements

I am pleased to announce expanded regional roles for Sean Sevy and Pete Munoz. On April 1, 2019, Sean and Pete added responsibility for Houston Methodist Clear Lake and Baytown to their current roles at Sugar Land. Sean’s new title will be Director, Facilities and Security South Region, and Pete’s new title will be Manager, Safety and Security South Region.

Both will continue to office in Sugar Land and will travel to Baytown and Clear Lake to meet the needs of all three campuses. As currently in place, the Directors and Managers of Facilities will handle the day-to-day operations for facilities at all three campuses and report to Sean and Pete.

Since joining Houston Methodist in 2005 as Director of Facilities, Sean has provided leadership for Facilities and Security at Sugar Land along with master planning and never ending campus construction. The hospital has grown from a small 54 bed community hospital to a bustling 347 bed hospital that is an anchor for the community. Sean will continue to oversee the campus growth and master plans along with providing this knowledge and experience to the other campuses in the South Region.

Pete Munoz began his career with Houston Methodist in 2002 at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital as their Director of Safety and Security. Pete later transferred to Sugar Land in 2016 as Manager of Safety and Security and is an active leader in our Safety Program. Pete is a wealth of knowledge in Security and Safety activities at Sugar Land and is a leader in the Environment of Care Committee. He is the chair of the Security and Emergency Preparation sub-committees at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital and has been responsible for the development of the work place violence program at Sugar Land. This program has been adopted at Clear Lake and Pete instructs Non-violent Crises Intervention training at both Sugar Land and Clear Lake campuses. Pete co-chairs as Safety Officer at Sugar Land and has lead the restructuring of Environment of Care Safety Committee to improve patient and employee safety. Pete’s knowledge and leadership will now be shared at all three South region campuses as he expands into his new role.

Please join me in congratulating both Pete and Sean in their new roles.

Chris Siebenaler
Regional Senior Vice President
Chief Executive Officer
