Victoria Yoneoka Promoted to Nurse Manager Position

The message below first appeared as an email on March 30, 2023 on behalf of Tiffany Bell, Nurse Director. 

I am pleased to announce that Victoria Yoneoka has accepted the Sweetwater 3 Nurse Manager position.

Victoria has been a valued member of Houston Methodist since 2018, starting as a bedside nurse on 5 West.  While on 5 West, Victoria performed relief charge nurse responsibilities, served as the unit Super-User for new initiatives, and Unit Partner for the focal point review process.  Victoria has a passion for wound care.  She became a Wound Treatment Associate in 2019 and currently serves as the No Harm Wound Care Council co-chair.  Victoria was an integral contributor to the development and implementation of wound care smart phrases to facilitate proper wound care and documentation.  In 2022, Victoria was promoted to RNIV and transferred to Sweetwater 3 as a day shift charge nurse.

Victoria has been a nurse for sixteen years and began her nursing career in the Philippines.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Xavier University and a Master’s in Nursing from Liceo de Cagayan University. She has worked in various nursing roles to prepare her for this new position.

In her spare time, Victoria loves to spend time with her family, her dog and enjoys working on arts and crafts projects.
