Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is pleased to welcome general surgeon Katherine Baxter, M.D., to Houston Methodist Surgical Associates, beginning Sept. 7.
Baxter will work alongside Timothy Oppermann, M.D., Michael Yaakovian, M.D., and Ashish Saharia, M.D. on the Houston Methodist Sugar Land campus in Medical Office Building 3, Suite 450.
Baxter earned her medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, where she also completed a general surgery residency. During her residency, she served as a research fellow at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
“I’ve always taken a patient-centric approach to medical care, working to understand my patients’ unique situations and needs,” said Baxter. “I’m excited to be affiliated with a practice and a hospital that share those same values, and I’m looking forward to serving the Fort Bend community.”
