Houston Methodist is pleased to welcome board-certified colorectal surgeon Lisa Haubert, M.D., to its medical staff. She joined Ali Mahmood, M.D., at Houston Methodist Surgical Associates at Sugar Land.
Haubert earned her medical degree and completed a general surgery residency at The Ohio State University College of Medicine & Public Health in Columbus. She completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston.
She specializes in surgery and minimally invasive surgery for patients with colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and hemorrhoids. She also treats Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and diverticular disease/diverticulitis.
Haubert comes to Houston Methodist Sugar Land from Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, where she also served as an assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine. She has been recognized four years in a row by Texas Monthly, first as “Rising Star” in medicine in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and as a “Texas Super Doctor” in 2019. Haubert has also been honored twice by Houstonia magazine as a top physician in the Houston area.
