Welcome Dr. Jeanene Smith

Houston Methodist Primary Care Group is pleased to announce Jeanene Smith, M.D., who is now welcoming patients at 16605 Southwest Fwy., Medical Office Building 3, Suite 400, Sugar Land, Texas 77479. Located on the campus of Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, Smith’s new office provides added convenience for patients with on-site access to quality specialty care and services from Houston Methodist’s leading network of world-class specialists.

Smith offers a broad range of clinical expertise for patients ages 5 and up, including preventive care, complete physicals, health screenings, diagnosis and management of depression and anxiety, women’s health, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, smoking cessation, diabetes management, and diagnosis and management of other acute and chronic illnesses. She received her medical degree from the Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee and completed the Residency Program of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston, Texas. As a primary care physician, Smith is committed to providing collaborative care with an emphasis on health care education.

“Patient education is essential to quality medical care,” Smith said. “I’m excited to offer my expertise and work together with Houston Methodist Primary Care Group patients to improve their overall health.”

    I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Smith for my husband. She does not take UMR. Is it possible that one of our Primary Care Physicians does not take our insurance?

        Susan, she is still in the process of being verified with all insurances. We hope to have this resolved soon. Thanks!
