Maya Garcia – Operations Department
I am currently a student at Texas State University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. I was born in Los Angeles, and have had the opportunity to live in various places, including Georgia and Houston. These experiences have exposed me to diverse cultures, allowing me to appreciate different perspectives and fostering a deep respect for inclusivity. As the oldest of four siblings, I have always taken on a role of responsibility and leadership within my family. My parents, who immigrated to this country, have been my biggest motivators. Witnessing their unwavering determination, work ethic, and sacrifices has instilled in me a strong drive to succeed. They are a constant reminder of the importance of hard work and perseverance. My passion for helping people is a significant part of who I am. I find great fulfillment in engaging in volunteer work, as it allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
In my free time, I enjoy going out for runs to maintain my physical and mental well-being. Additionally, spending quality time with my friends and family is something I truly cherish. Building strong connections, creating lasting memories, and nurturing those important relationships are fundamental aspects of my life. As a sports enthusiast, I find enjoyment in watching games, particularly when it comes to the Steelers. I am particularly excited about this internship opportunity. I believe that real-life experiences are invaluable for personal and professional growth. This internship offers me the chance to gain practical experience in healthcare administration, which aligns perfectly with my academic pursuits and passions. I am eager to learn from experienced professionals, tackle real-world challenges, and contribute to projects that will make a difference. This internship will not only provide me with valuable skills but also help me become a better administrator for my future career. I am thrilled about the potential this internship holds and look forward to the learning and growth that lie ahead.”
